When Shawna Marie first led worship for a retreat back in 1994, she stepped way out of her comfort zone. For years she had sung to large audiences ABOUT God with confidence, but singing TO God while guiding any size congregation terrified her! She admitted her weakness and asked God to take over. Within two years Shawna began serving weekly as worship leader for a local church, and often traveled to retreats, camps and conferences. At one such retreat a pastor's wife asked if Shawna gave workshops on worship leading. Then in January 2002 she taught that very subject across the continent in Ontario, Canada! One of her favorite sayings is "God doesn't always call the equipped, but He always equips the called." Shawna loves the old hymns of the church as well as the praise & worship choruses of today, and you will love the spirit of worship ushered in by Shawna's leading. From the age of 17, Shawna Marie knew without a shadow of doubt the Lord had placed a call on her life.
